Chilapata Forest

Situated in the heart of Eastern Dooars at Himalayas foothills, Chilapata Forest serves as the corridor between Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary and Buxa Tiger Reserve. The park is famous for One-horned Rhino and Asian Elephant and other animals like Wild Boar and Leopard are also present in this forest. More than 20 species of snakes and a large variety of butterflies found here which is quite famous. The forest is 20km away from New Alipurduar town.
